Hi Reader, Our clients have been asking us a lot about SEO and how to prioritize it now that AI search is so huge. There’s real confusion and even some fear, which I think is natural. The unknown of new technology is daunting. Especially when there are so many conflicting opinions floating around online. I’m a website developer, and I still have to stay on my toes to keep up to date. These things move fast, and we’re all constantly learning. But that’s my job! I’m sure you’ve heard people throw around ideas like….
Or maybe you’ve been blocking out all the chatter about AI search, hoping it all magically works itself out. (That’s what I do when the Baltimore Orioles are in last place mid-season.) Either way, it’s all good. As your go-to Left Brain website tech nerd, I want to dispel some of the confusion. To start, we wrote a blog post to bust 3 of the biggest AI & SEO myths. One of the main things I want you to understand is that, at Drio, we always start by prioritizing the humans who will visit your site. Then we build in strategic elements that make it easier for bots to crawl your content (to help you show up in traditional search engines and AI chatbot queries). It doesn’t have to be an either-or situation. You can satisfy the machines that recommend your site and the humans who reach out. That’s the only way, in my opinion. Read the blog on AI search myths If you have questions, send them my way. Or better yet, come to my next office hours!

Sure, you can always have too much of a good thing, but there’s a reason why my catch phrase is still “just call me.” Whether we worked together 3 days ago or 3 years ago, if something comes up, a quick call is the best way for us to get to the bottom of things. I can collect the context I need (without needing a massive email chain) and point you in the right...

Hi Reader, I’ve been thinking a lot about the story of Pablo Picasso and the napkin sketch lately. As legend has it, a woman was walking by a Parisian cafe one day, when she spotted Picasso drawing on a napkin. She was a big fan, so she walked up to the famous painter and asked if she could buy the sketch. Picasso responded with, “Yes, that will be 1,000,000 Francs.” The woman was surprised because she had just seen how quickly Picasso had created the drawing. It couldn’t have been more than...
