✨🎉📅 Drio’s February Recap: Partner Connection + Student Venture Spotlight

Hi Reader,

February went by in a flash, but we enjoyed spending time with partners and fellow entrepreneurs. It was another month filled with meaningful connections, shared momentum, and plenty of founder energy.

🤝 Partner moment: Agency 102 Happy Hour

We kicked off the month with a casual happy hour at Banditos in Towson with our friends at Agency 102 and a few local partners. It was one of those nights that reminds us why we love collaborating because of the good people, great conversation, and real momentum.

🚀 TEDCO spotlight: Maryland Student Venture Showcase

Hazel and Rachel attended the 2026 Maryland Student Venture Showcase, the premier annual event celebrating student-led ventures across the region. This year’s showcase featured student founders selected for the $50,000 Pava LaPere Innovation Awards, with teams pitching bold, future-facing ideas to investors, ecosystem leaders, and partners who are helping grow Maryland’s innovation economy.

A little context we love: the Student Venture Showcase + Pava LaPere Innovation Awards are funded by the Pava LaPere Legacy of Innovation Act of 2024, supporting technology-based student startups from institutions in the Baltimore Metro Area.

Picasso responded with, “Yes, that will be 1,000,000 Francs.” The woman was surprised because she had just seen how quickly Picasso had created the drawing. It couldn’t have been more than...

Hi Reader, A few weeks ago, our Project Manager, Justyne, visited Hazel and me here in Baltimore. When Justyne came to visit, we explained that Baltimore feels like a small town, even though more than 570,000 people live in the city. Many of us have been here for decades, if not generations, so it often seems like everyone knows each other. There’s a reason one of the city’s nicknames is “Small-timore.” She quickly saw what we meant. On the drive back from the airport, she spotted a sign with...
