Hi Reader, Building websites isn’t exactly life or death. Still, the longer we do it, the more I see how far the impact can go. While Hazel and I nibbled on pupusas and soaked up the view of San Salvador last month, we couldn’t help but reflect on that. Time and time again, we’ve seen how a solid website can change a business’s trajectory. Even during tough seasons (*cough* 2025), your website keeps showing up, telling the world who your business is and why it matters. When done right, it makes it easier for your audience to find, choose, and take the next step with you. That is almost life or death for a business! Being able to play a part in that, even a small one, gives me real peace of mind. Because behind every site we launch, there’s a group of people with a story worth amplifying. That’s also why I'm so excited about what’s coming next for WholeSite (the whole reason we were in El Salvador this year). WholeSite is our way of distilling all our Left-Brain-Right-Brain expertise and scaling it to help even more small businesses. Our goal is to give you much more than a random drag-and-drop template. Instead, WholeSite will act as a strategic website builder that puts your impact at the center and supports your business for the long run. If and when we follow through, that will mean even more passionate business owners will have a digital presence that works as hard as they do. That’s our mission in a nutshell, and it’s the kind of future that keeps me energized as we head into 2026. I’m so excited to see the progress we make next year. This is my last newsletter of the year, and I’m “dying” to know what goals are front of mind for your 2026. What’s keeping you energized for the year to come? Reply and let me know! In the meantime, I hope you have a restful holiday break. Put those big goals aside for a few days and give your friends and family your energy.
P.S. If you’re a potential client or partner who wants to work together, we’d love to hear from you. Here are some ways we can help: Make a long-term impact Get started with custom website design, a 4-week website, or digital marketing strategy. Tackle short-term goals If you’re a past client, ask us about credit hours or quarterly website refreshes.

Hi Reader, I’m about to start the last class of my MBA. It’s crazy to think that, 21 months after it all kicked off, I’ll officially be graduated in May. As I’m gearing up for the last push, I’ve been thinking about the tennis player, Mirra Andreeva. There’s this thing she does when she wins a tournament that I never see anyone else do. First, she thanks her family, coaches, and opponents. Then she thanks herself. Here’s a snippet from that speech: “I know what I have been dealing with, and I...
Hi Reader, The website world is full of jargon. If you’re trying to get a new website up and running, I don’t blame you if you’re feeling overwhelmed. Even just finding the right “type” of website team can be confusing, so I wanted to give you a little primer. Essentially, website teams usually land in one of two camps: Camp 1: Designers who build websites They typically lead with aesthetics, offer branding support, and create gorgeous-looking websites. That said, they tend to have less...
Hi Reader, The transition from holiday hibernation to the sprint of the new year never fails to amaze me. How are we already over a week into February?? It can be daunting to picture all the goals you have for the year when that sprint starts. Sometimes I feel like I’m grasping for a pause button as I start to wonder how we’ll ever make the time. When that feeling hits, the thing that keeps me grounded is remembering that we have core systems ticking along nicely in the background. I could...
