Be the supplier you want to see in the world

Hey Reader,

A few weeks ago, Hazel and I went to Nashville for WBENC’s Momentum National Conference, an event dedicated to connecting women entrepreneurs and corporate execs.

Turns out, there are a lot of big organizations out there that want to diversify their suppliers.

From Fortune 1000 brands like Target and Ford to federal contractors, this diversification creates game-changing opportunities for small brands on a mission.

Take Sunday Morning Coffee, one of the businesses featured at WBENC. Their founder, Savannah D. Mitchell, started as a spunky small coffee roaster but has bloomed into a supplier for corporations like Walmart and Amazon. Without sacrificing what her brand stands for.

By leading with her dedication to supporting women, minority populations, and the farmers who grow her coffee, she’s propelled her business to new heights.

Which means she can support even more of the people she set out to uplift in the first place.

So, what does this mean for you?

As we’ve said before, talking about your values isn’t just for the bigwigs.

It starts with the smaller movement-makers like us. When we put our values front and center, not only do our direct customers take note.

Investors and larger brands looking for partners could notice too.

Whatever your growth goals, ask yourself: Is your digital footprint working in your favor? And if you need help strategizing values-driven marketing, you know where to find us. 😉

Because when we can align “good for business” with “good for the world,” the glass ceilings don’t stand a chance.

To intentional growth,

Rachel

That’s what happened on International Women’s Day 2023 when we hosted a Soireé and Panel Discussion with our community, the Monument Women’s Creative Alliance.

Hi Reader, Walking into WordCamp Europe this summer felt like walking into high school as seniors. As usual, we knew many of the faces in the room, and we had experience on our side. The city was new (Kraków, Poland), but the energy was delightfully familiar. It’s like coming home to a community we’ve been with since freshman year. When you’re one of the “seniors,” you have wisdom to share with others who are earlier in their journey. We always love meeting people who are newer to the...

Hi Reader, June was a big month for learning, connecting, and keeping an eye on what is next in the world of WordPress. From Hazel and Rachel attending WordCamp Europe in Kraków to our team monitoring upcoming WordPress Core updates, we are continuing to stay plugged into the tools and trends that help us better support our clients and their websites. 🌍 WordCamp Europe 2026 This June, Hazel and Rachel headed to Kraków, Poland for WordCamp Europe 2026, one of the largest gatherings of the...

Hi Reader, A few weeks ago, some of our servers were hacked. The days that followed were pretty intense (think late nights, heads down and dedicated to a quick clean-up). This was the second security incident we experienced in the past year (the one before that had been at least 10 years ago). When that last incident happened, we had put in additional safeguards, so our immediate priority was understanding how it could have happened again. Hazel and I leaped into action as soon as we caught...
