Hi Reader, Building a website is kind of like marriage. It takes compromise, communication, and collaboration. š Thatās what we channeled while working on our biggest project yet: A new website for the United Way of Central Maryland (UWCM). Their fantastic organization helps more people in Greater Baltimore gain access to health services, education, housing, and more. Hereās the thing. A strong website is a consistent website. The design elements, message, and user experience should carry through every page. With a project this largeāwith so many different teams that needed to be heardāthat was an extra special challenge. But collaboration made it possible. The UWCM team had lots of great ideas and goals they wanted to hit. Our job was to hear what they wanted and then infuse our recommendations. That meant there was compromising involved, but thatās where a projectās strength comes from. The client was happy to listen to our alternative solutions (which we love), and we were happy to use their feedback to build what they needed. I canāt tell you how many times the UWCM team said, āIām so glad we talked this through on a callā before we landed an answer. No matter the website, itās a symbiotic effortāa marriage between what you ask for and what we recommend. It takes plenty of (left and right) brainstorming and meeting each other in the middle. Now, UWCM has a user-friendly, on-brand website they can confidently maintain. The site makes it easy for members, donors, volunteers, and other users to find exactly what they need so they can take part in UWCMās initiatives. Check out UWCM.org to see all the amazing things theyāre doing for communities in Baltimore. š PS: Read the full case study about this project here.

Hi Reader, I thought I was a savvy shopper untilā¦the deal backfired. My family and I were in Orlando for a wedding, and we stayed a few extra days to visit Universal Studios and hang out at the beach. That meant we needed lots of sunscreen to keep us all covered. I stared at the massive sunscreen wall in Walmart, lined with rows and rows of bottles. I spotted a large bottle with a familiar name: Neutrogena. It was SPF 50, āultra-sheerā (I hate the sticky stuff), and it came with a $2 coupon....
