Hi Reader, May was full of moments that remind us why we love the work we do: celebrating personal growth, creating space for meaningful business connections, and helping mission-driven organizations show up more clearly online. We’re excited to share a few recent milestones from the Drio world, including Hazel’s MBA, a CCBC webinar on leveraging your network, and three new website launches we’re proud to celebrate. 🎓 Celebrating Hazel’s MBA MilestoneHazel’s 21-month MBA journey challenged and stretched her in all the ways meaningful growth often does. It pushed her beyond her comfort zone, tested her commitment, and reminded her that sometimes the goals we carry quietly for years are the ones that mean the most when we finally reach them. Ever since earning her bachelor’s degree, Hazel had a little voice in the back of her mind saying, “Someday, I want to do that.” And this year, someday became done. Hazel is proud, grateful, and honestly a little amazed to see “MBA” next to her name. More than anything, she is happy that she did this for herself - as a business owner, a lifelong learner, and someone who still believes it’s never too late to pursue something that matters. 🤝 Leveraging Our Network for Business GrowthHazel and Rachel had the opportunity to lead CCBC’s Think & Grow Seminar Series session, “Leveraging Your Network: From Connections to Business Growth.” The virtual webinar focused on helping small business owners grow stronger, more valuable networks by showing up with intention. During the session, they shared practical strategies for building credibility, creating authentic connections, joining professional groups, serving on committees, volunteering, and participating in entrepreneur support programs. It was a great reminder that networking is not just about collecting contacts, it’s about building relationships that create opportunities over time. 🚀 Celebrating Three New Website Launches! Thanks for being part of our journey. If your organization’s ready for its own award-winning transformation, let’s talk.-Team Drio |
Hi Reader, Rachel and I recently went to a presentation for international exchange alumni (because of our Professional Fellows experience). During the event, one of the presenters shared how he’s now working with a peacebuilding organization called Mediators Beyond Borders. You know I’m all about a good analogy, and I absolutely loved the one he referenced. He described peacebuilding as similar to the Japanese art form kintsugi, which is done by repairing broken pottery using a gold substance...
Hi Reader, I don’t usually work late, but when I do, it’s because I’m fully immersed in something, head down, earbuds in. Recently, I was up late working on WholeSite, the AI-assisted website building tool we’re developing. When I finally came home, I asked my husband if he wanted to see what I had been doing. I hadn’t actually told him much about WholeSite yet, so I gave him the spiel. I told him WholeSite will allow entrepreneurs to create a high-quality WordPress website on their own. It...
Hi Reader, July was filled with connection, learning, and meaningful impact. From exchanging ideas with entrepreneurs and global leaders to launching a refreshed digital experience for a mission-driven organization and staying ahead of important website security updates, the month offered valuable opportunities to grow, collaborate, and support the communities we serve. 🚀 Learning from DC-Area Startup Founders On July 16, Rachel attended the Korea Innovation Center Washington DC’s TeX...
