Drio’s October Recap: Awards, Expos, Filming, and Summit Magic 🏆🎬✨

Hi Reader,

October was one for the books! From silver wins to national stages, Hazel and Rachel have been busy creating, connecting, and celebrating. Here’s what went down this month:

Drio Wins Silver for Our Work on ReBUILD Metro’s Website

On October 8, we joined Baltimore’s best creative minds at The Winslow for AMA Baltimore’s 40th Annual MX Awards, a celebration of marketing that makes you go “Oh wow!”

We’re thrilled to share that ReBUILD Metro’s website took home Silver, honoring work that’s impactful, strategic, and deeply rooted in community transformation. The MX Awards recognize the bold ideas and measurable results that shape our region’s creative landscape, and this one shines bright for Baltimore.

Projects like these remind us that great partnership and innovative design can fuel real community change.

Rachel at TEDCO’s 2025 Entrepreneur Expo

On October 21, Rachel joined more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators at TEDCO’s Entrepreneur Expo at The Hotel at the University of Maryland.

The event was packed with 111 speakers, 91 exhibitors, and endless opportunities to connect across Maryland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. From fresh ideas to inspiring conversations, it was a reminder of just how vibrant and collaborative our business community really is.

Conversations and connections from events like this help us bring back fresh ideas for our clients and partners.

🎬 Hazel on Set: Filming the Electrical Alliance Social Impact Video

On October 27, Hazel stepped behind the camera to help tell a story that hits close to home, the skilled workforce powering our region.

This 5-minute Electrical Alliance video highlights how electricians and contractors bring economic development and pride to the communities where they live and work. Featuring projects like the Purple Line, this piece shines a light on the people behind the progress and the impact they leave long after the lights come on.

Hazel Attends Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Summit in D.C.

Capping off the month, Hazel joined fellow small-business leaders from across the country at the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Summit (October 29–30) in Washington, D.C.

The summit, the largest gathering of small business owners in the U.S., featured powerhouse speakers like Michael Bloomberg, Martha Stewart, Michael Phelps, and Nancy Twine, diving into topics like AI, workforce retention, and the evolving landscape of entrepreneurship.

It was an incredible two days of inspiration, learning, and advocacy; giving small business owners a literal and figurative seat at the table.

Thanks for being part of our journey.

If your organization’s ready for its own award-winning transformation, let’s talk.

Hi Reader, The transition from holiday hibernation to the sprint of the new year never fails to amaze me. How are we already over a week into February?? When that feeling hits, the thing that keeps me grounded is remembering that we have core systems ticking along nicely in the background. I could...
