Drio’s May Recap: Growth, Impact & Inspiration ✨

Hi Reader,

May was full of momentum at Drio—packed with launches, leadership milestones, and local impact we’re proud to share. From building websites and sponsoring women-led events to graduating from leadership programs and preparing for international conferences, this month reminded us just how powerful purpose-driven work can be. Here’s a peek at what we’ve been up to!

🌐 Websites Launched

This month, Drio brought fresh new brands to the web, each designed to reflect the unique identity and mission of the organizations behind them.

Career Bound | A Custom Website for the Baltimore's Promise Organization

CareerBound, one of several initiatives led by Baltimore’s Promise, needed more than just a page on the main website, it needed a digital home of its own. With growing programming and ambitious goals to serve over 8,000 youth by 2030, the initiative required a standalone site to better highlight its offerings and engage its diverse audience. The new website delivers a clean, responsive design with intuitive navigation, reflecting CareerBound’s commitment to accessibility, clarity, and impact.

4 Week Website Launches

Lead with your purpose, and profit will follow. Our 4-Week Website is perfect for organizations that want to make a powerful impression—without the price tag or timeline of a fully custom build. It’s fast, values-driven, and designed to help you grow.

These two recent launches that show what’s possible in just four weeks:

Parkway Solutions

A woman-owned business development firm supporting the A/E/C industry, Parkway Solutions turned to Drio to level up from a DIY presence to a sleek, professional website. Through our 6-page solution, we crafted a site that balances strategy and style, clearly articulating Parkway’s mission to empower minority- and veteran-owned businesses while delivering the flexibility and polish needed for long-term growth.

Mallick Mechanical

Through our 13-page solution, Drio worked with the Mallick team to create a website that highlights their decades of expertise, showcases their full range of services, and makes it easy for customers across MD, DC, and VA to connect, request service, or explore career opportunities.

🎓 Milestones Achieved

On May 28, Rachel completed the Towson University Professional Leadership Program for Women.

This was a four-month journey of personal and professional development. Through workshops, coaching, and peer connections, the program challenged her to lead with greater clarity, purpose, and impact. The insights gained and relationships built will continue to shape how we lead, collaborate, and grow at Drio, MWCA and beyond.

On May 12, after eight months of mentorship, strategic growth, and entrepreneurial deep dives, Rachel completed the Elite 10 Accelerator through CCBC’s Center for Business Innovation & Trades. This Program is an intensive initiative for top-performing entrepreneurs that combines expert mentorship, one-on-one coaching, and grant funding to help early-stage businesses grow and thrive.

👠 Celebrating Women of Influence

Drio proudly joined as a marketing sponsor for the 8th Annual Women of Influence event on May 15, hosted by I95 Business. The event brought together a vibrant community of women leaders, entrepreneurs, and advocates from across the region to connect, celebrate, and be inspired.

Inspiring speakers like Dr. Nancy Grasmick, Maryland’s first female state superintendent of schools, and Betty Hines, founder of W.E.W. (Women Elevating Women), lit up the stage with powerful stories of leadership, resilience, and impact. From thought-provoking panels to meaningful networking, it was an energizing afternoon dedicated to lifting up women who are making bold moves in business and beyond.

🛠️ Conference Recap: Technical.ly Builders 2025

After Drio was named to Technical.ly’s 2025 RealLIST Startups in Baltimore, Rachel traveled to Philadelphia for the Technical.ly Builders Conference on May 8–9.

The event brought together founders, technologists, and ecosystem builders from across the region to explore bold ideas and real-world solutions. Sessions covered everything from AI tools and strategic storytelling to building more equitable innovation communities. It was the perfect setting to reflect on Drio’s journey—and connect with others shaping the future of mission-driven business.

Thank you for being a valued Drio client—your partnership inspires us, and we’re excited to keep moving forward together, building what’s next.

As legend has it, a woman was walking by a Parisian cafe one day, when she spotted Picasso drawing on a napkin. She was a big fan, so she walked up to the famous painter and asked if she could buy the sketch. Picasso responded with, “Yes, that will be 1,000,000 Francs.” The woman was surprised because she had just seen how quickly Picasso had created the drawing. It couldn’t have been more than...
